Somatics…
…focuses on the lived experience in the body (soma is Greek for body). The emphasis is not on what happened in the past, but on how the past “lives” in the body. How your body feels from within is vital to making shifts in perception and action that change your day-to-day life.

…focuses on mental processes like thoughts, feelings, and conscious and unconscious experiences. (Psyche is Greek for mind and spirit). Together we look for and minimize patterns that negatively impact your life—and we foster patterns that enhance your life.

Initial Package
6 sessions (2 sessions/month for 3 months)
Sessions are 50 minutes
My regular fee is $3600 ($600/session). I offer you my introductory rate of $1500 ($250/session).
Our first session is about exchanging information about you, me, and our process together. It’s important to me that you feel informed, safe, and heard.
Beyond that, our format is not predetermined. I meet you where you are at—however you are that day. With curiosity, we explore what’s going on in your life, including sensations, emotions, and mental and behavioral patterns. My favorite ways to contribute to the exploration include questions, stories, exercises, and meditations that may lead to insight into patterns, foster alternative perceptions and attitudes, and create possibilities for new actions. We learn and train together to live healthier and happier lives.

No, I don’t take insurance.

After the initial 3 month commitment, you may stop at any time.
How long do clients stay with you?
About 1/3 feel complete after 6 sessions. About 1/3 continue for years because their experience is deep, rich, and rewarding. About 1/3 come and go as the stresses in their lives come and go.
What is more important to you, my comfort or my learning?
Your learning is more important to me. I am willing for you (and me) to be uncomfortable in the learning process. Learning, by definition, includes unfamiliar territory. When discomfort is paired with curiosity and courage, the results can be surprising and dramatic.
What is your most important quality?
